Patching and Repair Work for Asphalt

Depending on your bid requirements, patch areas are either thrown-in asphalt or saw-cut/milling prepped. If saw cut is elected, we will saw cut along broken edges of repairs to ensure a neat appearance and new asphalt longevity. ARI removes and disposes of debris. All repair areas are thoroughly cleaned using power blowers and broom prior to laying the asphalt. Areas are tacked with SSI Tack Coat and filled with hot S-3 asphalt, then compacted to proper density with a whacker plate or vibrating roller. 

When it comes to the methods of patching or repairing asphalt, there are two methods that we recommend. One way is to just fill it with asphalt but it is not a permanent solution because, cracks can still occur. Another method we recommend is the saw-cut / milling prepped method. We prefer this method as it is more durable and effective in the long run, it helps in crack filling too.
